A. Definition of Recount Text

Literally, recount means “telling”. So Recount Text can be interpreted as “text that tells”. When referring to the information in the school books (read : English Book SMP / SMA) Recount Text is a text that telling the reader about one story, action or activity. Its goal is to entertaining or informing the reader.

B. The Purpose of Recount Text

The Purpose of Recount Text is to entertain or inform the reader.

C. Generic Structure of Recount Text

· Orientation tells who was involved, what happened, where the events took place, and when it happened.

· Events tell what happened and in what sequence.

· Reorientation consist of optional-closure of events/ending

My Reunion Day

On Sunday, 30^th September 2012, I participated in a First Big Reunion event Junior High School 1 Bungoro.

While there, I met with some friends Alumnus, Teachers, and Staff of Junior High School 1 Bungoro. There are also speech, such speech by Representative Generation 1984, Mr. Umar Haya. He tells the massages and impressions during school in Junior High School 1 Bungoro and he also gave motivation to the younger Alumnus and those still in school. Headmaster of Junior High School, Mr. Ismail also gave a speech. He was congratulated by the Alumnus to get together or meet in the Reunion. Reunion Committee Chairman, Achmad Riefai Hatta also gave a speech and say a big thanks to the Alumnus who attended and all the Committee had to take the time to prepare for that First Reunion Event. And there is also a teacher who gave a messages and impressions for teaching at Junior High School 1 Bungoro, namely Mr. M. Ibrahim Abdullah.

There is also entertainment in the Reunion, lost of entertainment such as Traditional Dance, Shuffle Dance, Generation 2004 Band with the song “Love Story at the School”, and Mr. Dahlan and Mr. M. Ibrahim Abdullah with song “Intimacy”. I am also very happy that in addition to meeting with the theme of friends and teachers, I was also able to meet with my girlfriend.

The point in the Reunion, I was very happy to be able to meet up with friends, teachers, Alumnus Brothers and Sisters, and My Girlfriend. Hopefully in the years ahead, Reunion could stiil be carried out because the Reunion that we can remember the Junior High School are good or bad.

“Past period should not be forgotten but the future must be remembered.”
